The controller within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation and other national data protection laws of the member states as well as other data protection regulations is:

Maximilian Helmut Ewert

Contact: hello@sketchlab.studio

1. Scope of processing personal data

We collect and use personal data of our users only to the extent necessary to provide a functional website and as permitted by law, or if you consent to the collection and use.

2. Legal basis for the processing of personal data

Insofar as we obtain the consent of the data subject for the processing of personal data, Art. 6 (1) lit. a EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) serves as the legal basis for the processing of personal data.
In order to safeguard our legitimate interests, data processing may be carried out to ensure the functionality of our website within the framework of balancing interests. Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR serves as the legal basis for this.

3. Data deletion and storage period

The personal data of the data subject will be deleted as soon as the purpose of storage no longer applies. Storage may also take place if this has been provided for by the European or national legislator in EU regulations, laws, or other provisions to which the controller is subject. The data will also be deleted if a storage period prescribed by the aforementioned standards expires, unless there is a need for further storage of the data for the conclusion or fulfillment of a contract.

4. Data collection and use of personal data on the website

4.1 Log files

When you visit our website, our web server temporarily records the following data in so-called server log files for system security purposes:

– the domain name or IP address of the requesting computer (client)

– the time and date of access
– the URL or resource accessed
– the HTTP status code
– the homepage from which you visit us

– the names of requested files,
– the amount of data transferred

– the browser type and browser version

– the operating system used (including for mobile devices such as smartphones)

The legal basis for the temporary storage of data is Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR.

The data is stored in log files to ensure the functionality of the website. In addition, the data helps us to optimize the website and to ensure the security of our information technology systems. The data is not evaluated for marketing purposes in this context. These purposes also constitute our legitimate interest in data processing pursuant to Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR.

The data is anonymized as soon as it is no longer necessary for the purpose for which it was collected. This is the case after seven days at the latest. The log files are then automatically anonymized. In the event of anonymization, the respective IP address is shortened so that it is no longer possible to assign it to the calling client.

The collection of data for the provision of the website and the storage of data in log files is essential for the operation of the website. Consequently, there is no possibility for the user to object.

4.2 Email contact

You can contact us using the email address provided. In this case, the user's personal data transmitted with the email will be stored. The legal basis for the processing of data transmitted in the course of sending an email is Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR. If the email contact is aimed at concluding a contract, the additional legal basis for processing is Art. 6 (1) lit. b GDPR. In the case of contact by email, this also constitutes the necessary legitimate interest in the processing of the data. The legal basis for the processing of data in the event of the user's consent is Art. 6 (1) lit. a GDPR.

The data will be deleted as soon as it is no longer necessary for the purpose for which it was collected. For personal data sent to us by email, this is the case when the respective conversation with the user has ended. The conversation is ended when it can be inferred from the circumstances that the matter in question has been conclusively clarified.

The user has the option of revoking their consent to the processing of personal data at any time. If the user contacts us by email, they can object to the storage of their personal data at any time.

In the latter case, you have a general right to object, which we will implement without you having to specify a particular situation. If you wish to exercise your right of withdrawal or objection, simply send an email to hello@sketchlab.studio.

6. SSL encryption

To protect the security of your data during transmission between your web browser and our web server, we use state-of-the-art encryption methods (e.g., SSL) via HTTPS.
This method initiates encryption when a connection is established between the web server and the web browser, enabling the encrypted transfer of data entered during a website session between the website user's internet browser and the website operator's web server. For the contact forms used on this website, we use encryption via StartTLS / SMTPS, which enables encrypted transmission of inquiries via the contact form.

7. Changes to our privacy policy

We reserve the right to amend this privacy policy so that it always complies with current legal requirements or to implement changes to our services in the privacy policy, e.g. when introducing new content, services, and website offerings. The new privacy policy, which can be accessed at this URL, will then apply to your next visit.

8. Other questions about data protection

For any inquiries and information about data protection on our website and the subsequent processing of data, you can use our contact address hello@sketchlab.studio at any time.
