Hi, I'm Max, an industrial designer from Munich!

For as long as I can remember, I've had a pen in my hand. I painted and drew whenever I could. As my family has deep roots in Munich and BMW, I grew up surrounded by beautiful cars and motorcycles. So it was only a matter of time before my drawings focused on cars. Early on, my goal was to become a designer.
 

I completed my master's degree in industrial design at Folkwang University in Essen in 2022. In addition to my passion for cars, I have always had a soft spot for furniture and interior design. That's why I quickly focused on this field during my studies – without losing sight of my love for cars. After various internships at BMW, I worked as a lecturer in drawing techniques during my studies, teaching young creatives how to draw in portfolio courses and coaching companies from various industrial sectors in presentation and

sketching skills.

After completing my studies, I initially worked at Studio Eric Degenhardt Industrial Design before finally moving to London to join the Industrial Design team at Foster+Partners. This allowed me to gain experience in both small and large international fields and to further expand my expertise not only in industrial design but also in architecture.

 

At the end of 2025, I started the sketch.lab journey, in which I want to inspire people with passion for design, highlight the beauty of hand sketches in a digital world and, of course, live out my passion for cars, furniture and beautiful things.
